Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of privatewellness.ca (the “Site”) and the unstaffed recovery studio operated under that brand in Newmarket, Ontario, Canada (the “Studio”). By booking a session, entering the Studio, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service description
Private Wellness provides solo, timed access to a private room containing dry sauna, red-light, PEMF, and compression-boot equipment. The Studio is unstaffed by design. Access is delivered via a time-bound PIN sent to you by SMS before your session.
2. Booking, payment, and memberships
- Sessions are 60 minutes in length. Prices shown at checkout are in Canadian dollars and include applicable taxes where required.
- Drop-in payments are charged at the time of booking. Memberships are billed monthly in advance and auto-renew until canceled.
- You may cancel a session up to 4 hours before its start time for a full refund. Cancellations inside the 4-hour window are non-refundable.
- Memberships may be canceled at any time and will remain active through the end of the current billing period.
- Sessions from a membership period that are not used within that period are forfeited. Guest passes are non-transferable.
3. Eligibility and contraindications
You must be 18 years of age or older to book a session. You must review and sign our contraindications waiver before each booking. You agree not to use the Studio if you:
- are pregnant or believe you may be pregnant;
- have any cardiac condition, including high or low blood pressure not controlled by medication;
- have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or other implanted electronic medical device;
- are taking medication that affects heart rate, blood pressure, thermoregulation, or photosensitivity; or
- are otherwise advised by a qualified medical professional not to use dry sauna, red-light, PEMF, or compression therapy.

4. Assumption of risk and waiver of liability
Use of the Studio is voluntary and at your sole risk. You acknowledge that heat exposure, electromagnetic pulse, photobiomodulation, and pneumatic compression carry inherent risks, including but not limited to dehydration, lightheadedness, burns, syncope, cardiac events, and aggravation of pre-existing conditions.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release Private Wellness, its operators, owners, employees, and contractors from any and all claims arising out of or related to your use of the Studio, other than claims arising from gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
5. Studio rules
- Your PIN is personal and non-transferable. Do not share it.
- One guest per booking. Bringing an unregistered guest is prohibited.
- Leave the room as you found it. You are responsible for any damage caused during your session.
- Shower before entering the sauna. Towels and a robe are provided.
- The session ends at your scheduled end time. Access is revoked automatically.
6. No medical advice
Nothing on the Site or in the Studio constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult a qualified health professional for any medical concern.
7. Intellectual property
All content, trademarks, and brand elements on the Site are the property of Private Wellness or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use them without written permission.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site or the Studio after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Exclusive jurisdiction lies with the courts of Ontario.
